We are excited to be starting the year with our first book fair of 2026, the Stuttgart Antiquarian Book Fair, which will take place at the new location of the Liederhalle in the heart of Stuttgart. The fair runs from Friday 23 January to Sunday 25 January, and will feature over 70 antiquarian bookshops from 11 countries showcasing a range of rare books, manuscripts, prints, and paper antiques.
Quaritch will be exhibiting at stand 21 and to mark the occasion we will be releasing a new list, German Books, featuring a selection of printed books from the fifteenth century onwards, which includes examples of the earliest presses and of both fine printing and ephemeral printing from Adlersberg and Brandenburg to Wittenberg and Würzburg, Mainz and Memmingen to Hagenau and Heidelberg; books printed not only in German but in Latin, Greek, Hebrew, and Spanish; as well as books which have travelled beyond Germany, being bound, owned, and annotated further afield in England, Scotland, France, Italy, and America. To be first to receive the list, sign up to our mailing list here.
For those who will be attending the fair, complimentary tickets can be found here:
We hope to see many of you at the Liederhalle!
